High Speed Cutting Machine Application Sheet
In all high speed applications, static build up becomes more prevalent. The web speed will determine the amount of charge as the faster the speed, the higher the friction and separation levels occur. This is how static is generated. As the cutting process takes place, the individual sheets or bags then are able to attract themselves to an earth potential such as the machine casing, this is called material misbehaviour. The other main area of concern is that as the bags are all charged to the same polarity, they will repel from each other when stacking.
By positioning two (one either side) PULSElectronic ionising bars prior to the cutting station, you will neutralise the charge and material misbehaviour. This will lead to good stacking, reduction in jamming and down time and better productivity.
